Optizone

"Optizone," the Operational Research Society of the Department of Operational Research, DDUC, was established during the 2012–2013 academic session to connect students with eminent academicians, researchers, and industry practitioners. The society organizes workshops, seminars, and technical sessions to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. The society hosts its annual flagship fest, "Opticon," which features diverse inter-college competitions that challenge students' problem-solving and analytical abilities. Alongside core domain workshops in operational research, Optizone regularly conducts hands-on sessions on emerging industry technologies, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning using Python, led by experienced faculty and seasoned industry professionals.
